ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNMENT DIRECTS ALL SCHOOLS IN THE STATE TO PROCEED ON AN INDEFINITE VACATION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE



On the quest to prevent the spread of Corona virus (CONVID-19), the anambra state government has directed all primary and secondary schools in the State to proceed on an indefinite vacation starting from Friday March 27th 2020 while all the tertiary institutions owned by the state will proceed on an indefinite vacation starting from tomorrow Friday 20th March 2020.

 All public gathering has also been banned in the States from Monday March 23rd 2020 this is according to the public health advisory by governor willie obiano obtained by the journalists today.

Also all inter-house Sports competition has also been suspended until further notice as all school management in the State were compulsorily asked to provide a handwash station at the entrance of all schools and that they should make sure that all students and visitors washed their hands frequently with soap and water at least 20 seconds and allow it to air-dry.

 Parents were also asked to provide hand sanitizer for their children while the school management were asked to always check the temperature of the children kept under their custody at least once every day as temperatures above 37.9 degree  Celsius were asked to be rushed to the nearest hospital.

 The Advisory also advised Traders to frequently wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds and allow it to air-dry before going to the market, also speaking to the traders the Advisory continued by saying that the use of hand sanitizer is strongly recommended. It also discourages handshaking and all other forms of body contacts salutation while recommending that space of six feet should be maintained between customers and Traders and that the market people leaders should provide an infrared thermometer to test the temperature of their customers at all time.
