A former Nigeria Federal Minister of Education under the presidential tenure of Olusegun Obasanjo the one time president of Nigeria has warned that The abducted Chibok girls including Leah Sharibu should not be allowed to celebrate their next birthday under the mal-treatment and custody of their abductors.

The ex-minister whose name is Obiageli Ezekwesili but politically known as Oby Ezekwesili could have contested for presidency under The Allied Congress Party Of Nigeria (ACPN) but decided to step down on the 24th January 2019 after she revealed her step down reasons on her twitter page the previous day. Leah Sharibu is one of the secondary school girls that was abducted by the boko-haram on the 19th February 2018 at Chibok Borno State. Most of the abducted girls returned back few days later but Leah was not allowed to go with them because of the fact that she refused to be converted to Islamic religion.

Mrs. Obiageli who stated that her reason for stepping down is to make sure that she remove the incumbent president Buhari from the Office said that the president made several promises concerning the release of the Chibok girls when he was campaining for the office if the Presidency and that now is a very good time to bring those promises to fulfilment

Adding to her Speech on her twiter page Mrs. Obiageli said "It is good to stand on our words , let us always say only what we can do. Leah Sharibu and other one hundred and twelve members of the Chibok girls should not be allowed to celebrate another birthday under the enclave of their abductor"

"These children must have suffered under those violent and brutal Boko-Haram members. What angeres me the most is that in the last four year President Buhari promised us heaven and earth concerning this very issue of the Chibok girls and people voted him in just for him to enter there and forget the people's main reason for voting him in. They supported him hoping that he will find the solution to release those girls but since then all were to no avail, the president should sit up over this issue."

"His Excellency, Nigerians demand that you fulfill your campaign promises now in order to commemorate leahs birthday".

Further speaking the 57-year old Anambrarian and a former minister of the Federation said that Leah was confirmed to be alive from the report tabled by some of the returnees of the abducted girls and that the presidency should not over look this matter most especially in this period of Pandemic noting that there is possibility that those children should be infected by the virus that circulates rapidly.
