His Excellency Sen.Ahmed lawan who is the president of the Nigerian Senate has expressed his feelings over the release of the school children who were kidnapped from a Secondary School in the home State of the Nigerian president, Mohammadu Buhari.

Speaking Over the abducted children's release Mr. Lawan said he is relieved at the news of the students' release. 

Furthermore, Mr.Lawan said that the fact that these children were freed without any harm should be a delight to not just their parents but to every Nigerian and International community members who are of goodwill.

The abuction of school children the day our president arrived in his hometown must have brought a shock to many people, he said.

Finally, Sen.Lawan who represents the Yobe North Constituency of Yobe State said that he really rejoice with the parents of these children who were under tremendous emotional stress as they prayed for their children's safe return.


In his words the Senate president said "I am relieved at the news of the release of the hundreds of schoolboys kidnapped last week Friday at the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State."

"The news that all the kidnapped boys regained their freedom unharmed would delight their parents and all people of goodwill in Nigeria and across the world who have been horrified by the ordeal of the innocent children."

"I particularly rejoice with the parents who had been under tremendous emotional stress as they prayed for the safe return of their children. The past few days have been harrowing for them, their teachers and all of us as a nation."
